On Monday first responders and firefighters were called to a possible explosion at the former Willard Psychiatric Center Administration building.
First responders from Ovid responded confirming an explosion. The building was cleared, and the source of the explosion appears to have been a utility room.
Photos from the scene by the Ovid Fire Department show most of the damage appears to be contained to the lower portion of the structure.
The cause of the explosion remains unconfirmed at this time.
New York State Police, nor local law enforcement have released any updates on the investigation.
