Auburn tells students to take laptops home, in case remote learning necessary after Christmas

Auburn school officials are making plans for the potential of remote learning if the COVID-19 outbreak gets worse.

The district is telling students to take their school-issued laptops home with them over the Christmas break, just in case. An email went out to parents Tuesday letting them know about the policy. From the district’s Facebook page:

An email to the AECSD parents was sent out this evening to share that students will bring their school issued devices home for the holiday break later this week. This is in an effort to be proactive in the event we are directed to transition to remote learning after the break, and will allow us to avoid disruption in instruction for our students.
