A former top aide to then-Governor Andrew Cuomo has been released from federal prison.
NY State of Politics reports U.S. Bureau of Prisons records show Joe Percoco now lives in a halfway house in Brooklyn. Percoco had been at the federal prison in Otisville, with a scheduled release date of April, 2024. His apparent release was first reported this week by the Albany Times Union. Percoco was convicted in a 2018 investigation of corruption. Also convicted was former SUNY Poly President Alain Kaloyeros, who is scheduled to report to federal prison next year.
