A 30-year Yates County Legislator has retired.
The Chronicle-Express reports Connie Hayes served as Clerk of the legislature for most of those years. At her last meeting December 13th, Hayes was given a plaque that read:
“With our greatest appreciation we honor Connie Hayes. We will forever be grateful for years of dedication, knowledge, and guidance to the Legislature, our County Workforce, and our Community. People will always remember your personality and quick wit. Your departure will be greatly felt as you are not only a coworker, but a friend to many. It was an honor and a pleasure working with you. Happy retirement.”
