Syracuse University officials announced Friday morning that the men’s basketball team would be postponing their next two games due to COVID protocols. The Orange were slated to host Lehigh on Saturday night and Cornell on Tuesday night. As it stands, the next time Syracuse would take the court would be against ACC competition, with Georgia Tech coming to Syracuse on December 29th.
Syracuse joins fellow programs Ohio State, Kentucky, Seton Hall and Iona who have had to postpone games this weekend due to COVID protocols. Syracuse will explore attempting to get the games rescheduled for later in the season against Lehigh and Cornell. The women’s basketball game scheduled against UMBC on Saturday morning is still being played.
SCHEDULE UPDATE: Our games on Dec. 18 vs. Lehigh and Dec. 21 vs. Cornell have been postponed due to COVID protocols.
