Trooper credited with saving life of toddler after choking, becoming unresponsive at home (video)

A New York State Police officer is being credited with saving the life of a toddler in the Southern Tier after responding to a home.

The toddler was choking and had become unresponsive, according to state police.

That’s when Trooper David Draudt stepped into action, working quickly to free the child’s throat.

Body cam footage from the incident was obtained and released by Syracuse.com. The boy’s mother credited the trooper with saving his life.
