In the middle of the “It’s a Wonderful Life” festivities in Seneca Falls Saturday, ground was broken for an expansion of the “It’s a Wonderful Life” museum.
FingerLakesDailyNews.com reports the event was attended by three of the actors from the film, State Senator Pam Helming and Assemblyman Jeff Gallihan. The museum will move to temporary quarters when construction begins in the building that housed the first movie theater in Seneca Falls.
The work is being paid for with $912,000 of the ten million awarded the village in the Downtown Revitalization initiative.
