George Bailey’s original 1919 Dodge arrives in Seneca Falls

The original 1919 Dodge Brothers automobile that was made famous as George Bailey’s car in the Frank Capra holiday Classic, “It’s A Wonderful Life” arrived in Seneca Falls, NY on Wednesday as part of the town’s It’s A Wonderful Life Festival which runs through Sunday.

Three of the actors who portrayed the Bailey kids (Pete, Janie & ZuZu) in the classic holiday movie pose with the famous auto.

The fully restored antique auto is currently on display at James Chrysler Dodge Jeep & Ram on Route 414 near the NYS Thruway exit north of Seneca Falls.

A fundraising campaign is underway to attempt to purchase the classic car to permanently house at the It’s A Wonderful Life Museum in downtown Seneca Falls.

The 1919 Dodge is currently owned by Keith and Marilyn Smith of Colorado.
