Syracuse University will require COVID-19 booster shots before spring semester

The Vice Chancellor for Strategic Initiatives and Innovation at Syracuse University has sent a letter to staff and students saying that everyone will have to get the COVID-19 booster shot before the spring semester begins.

The letter was penned by J. Michael Haynie, who said that all eligible students, faculty, and staff who access any Syracuse University campus locations will be required to receive a booster shot before the start of the Spring semester, or as soon as they are eligible.

The mandate includes all study abroad locations and satellite locations for the university.

All students and staff will be required to show proof of receiving the booster.
