Syracuse grinds out win at Florida State, 63-60 (full coverage)

Syracuse rallied from an 11-point deficit to stun Florida State 63-60 here at the Donald Tucker Civic Center on Saturday.

Box score

The Orange’s win ended Florida State’s home win streak in ACC play at 25 games, just one shy of Duke’s 26-game record streak.

Florida State’s last ACC loss at home was on Jan. 12, 2019, against then-No. 1 ranked Duke.

Syracuse trailed by 11 points early in the second half but went on a 16-2 run to grab the lead and then held on in the frenzied final minutes for the victory.

Cole Swider converted both ends of a one-and-one free throw opportunity with 10 seconds left to give Syracuse a 63-60 lead.

The Orange survived Florida State’s final possession that included two missed 3-pointers.

Syracuse improved to 5-3 overall and 1-0 in the ACC.
