There are some states sending out stimulus checks that some residents may be surprised by before Christmas hits.
States issuing stimulus aid to residents includes California, Connecticut, New Mexico, Vermont, Tennessee, New Hampshire, and Florida.
These payments depend on different things in different states, like job titles or income.
Some people may even be unaware that they can qualify for this aid.

Here are the 7 states offering aid to their residents before the holiday arrives
California started sending out checks to their residents that filed their 2020 tax return by Oct. 15.
These residents also made under $75,000 per year.
Over 800,000 checks were mailed out on Nov. 29.
These checks are worth $600-$1,100.

In Connecticut, there’s a Back to Work stimulus program that started May 30, 2021. It’s set to end Dec. 31, 2021.
Things like when you applied for unemployment and how long you were on it will impact your eligibility.
The payments are worth $1,000 and residents need to have acquired a job.
Florida is paying their teachers and principals $1,000.
These funds started going out in Aug.

New Hampshire is providing families of three with no income a one time check worth $1,086.
New Mexico reopened their applications to those that did not get relief from their stimulus fund over the summer.
The checks in Aug. were worth $750.
Tennessee is paying $1,000 to full time teachers and $500 to part time teachers in Rutherford County Schools.
These payments are for those employed with the district between Oct. 1 and Dec. 17.

Anyone staying with the district from Jan. through March of 2022 will see another $500.
Those that are employed from Jan. until May of 2022 can see another $500.
New employees hired in Dec. will be eligible for the 2022 bonuses.
In Vermont, the state is covering up to $7,500 in moving expenses for those relocating due to unemployment in the hospitality or construction industries.
