State police say a 32-year-old is in custody after a domestic incident and pursuit in Steuben County.
Jared Panipinto, 32, was involved in the domestic incident where he struck his wife several times and attempted to hit her with a chair.
He left the home and was later spotted by police. That’s when the pursuit began after he failed to stop for them.
A police cruiser was struck and the chase continued onto I-390 north. Stop sticks were ultimately used to stop Panipinto.
He was charged with felony assault, reckless endangerment, criminal mischief, fleeing an officer, aggravated unlicensed operation, reckless driving, and acting in a manner to injure a child under 17.
The charges will be answered at a later date.
