Driver had BAC of 0.29% after hit-and-run crash in Wayne County

State police say the driver involved in a hit-and-run in Wayne County had a blood alcohol content nearly four-times the legal limit.

Around 9:15 p.m. on November 20 troopers were called to a hit-and-run accident on State Route 21 and Route 104.

The driver that stayed on scene reported that he was rear-ended by another driver at the stop light of the intersection.

The second driver fled the scene and was later located at a nearby gas station.

Angel Garcia was identified as the driver of the vehicle that fled the scene. He was found to have a BAC of 0.29%. He was transported to state police Williamson headquarters and processed.

The charges will be answered at a later date.
