The Syracuse women’s basketball team fell into a hole in the third quarter and couldn’t dig itself out in a 70-63 loss to Minnesota at the Battle 4 Atlantis in the Bahamas on Sunday night.
Former Syracuse player Kadiatou Sissoko had a game-high and season-high 23 points and 13 rebounds for Minnesota. The Paris, France, native played for the Orange as a freshman in 2018-19. She was the 10th-ranked player overall and the No. 2 guard in the 2018 recruiting class, according to ESPN’s rankings.
Chrislyn Carr had a team-high 18 points for the Orange and Christianna Carr added 16 points while Naje Murray and Alaysia Styles added double figures with 14 points and 10 points respectively.
