Port Byron man charged with DWI, driving without license in Wayne County

The Wayne County Sheriff’s Office reports the arrest of a 33-year-old following a suspicious vehicle complaint in Butler.

According to deputies they located the vehicle in question, which was operated by Richard Kent Jr., 33, of Port Byron.

He was found to have consumed alcohol before driving, and was operating the vehicle with a suspended license.

Deputies say Kent failed field sobriety tests and eventually was found to have a BAC of 0.07%.

Kent was charged with aggravated unlicensed operation and DWI.

The charges will be answered at a later date.
