Clyde man arrested after Halloween stabbing at Tommy’s Bar in Newark

On October 31 police responded to Newark Wayne Community Hospital around 2:35 a.m. for a patient who had been stabbed.

According to police, the incident happened at Tommy’s Bar located on Railroad Avenue prior to the call.

Three different law enforcement agencies were involved in the investigation, which resulted in an arrest earlier this week.

The victim had been stabbed several times by an unknown suspect. Subsequent investigation resulted in the arrest of Jermaine Harrison, 34, of Clyde for felony assault and felony criminal possession of a weapon.

He was taken into custody on November 15. Police say the District Attorney’s office and New York State Parole became involved in the investigation.

Harrison was transported to the Wayne County Jail for arraignment.
