Deputies report the arrest of a 33-year-old Bath man following an investigation into a person screaming on Main Street in Savona.
When deputies arrived they encountered Ryan Wittrock, 33, who was upset over the overdose of an acquaintance. He had previously been indicted by a Steuben County Grand Jury and had two active warrants for his arrest against him.
Deputies attempted to take Wittrock into custody and at that point he resisted. He also began running away. Eventually he was detained and taken into custody.
Deputies say Wittrock was charged with felony criminal sale of a controlled substance and obstructing governmental administration. He was also charged with a felony count of possession.
The charges will be answered at a later date.
