New Yorker’s urged to get booster shot if they feel at risk for infection

Governor Kathy Hochul has announced that anyone worried about risk of infection should simply get the COVID-19 booster shot.

Officials suggest anyone over age 65, anyone with a job that puts them at greater risk, or anyone immunocompromised get the booster shot.

Hochul stated that she thinks anyone who sees themselves as high risk needs to get the shot.

Hochul originally received the Johnson & Johnson shot and has since had the booster.

65.7% of New Yorkers eligible to receive the vaccine have had it.

State officials have said anyone who qualifies should get the vaccine as winter approaches and a new spike in cases is feared.
