Steuben man indicted on felony charges after drug investigation

The Steuben County Sheriff’s Office reports the arrest of a Lindley man following an investigation into narcotics sale.

Raymond Smith, 65, is accused of possessing a half ounce of a narcotic. He’s also accused of selling narcotics in Steuben County.

Smith was indicted by a Steuben County Grand Jury for criminal possession of a controlled substance and criminal sale of a controlled substance, both felony counts.

A warrant was issued for his arrest and he was remanded to the Steuben County Jail pending a bail hearing.

Sheriff Jim Allard thanked local police for their assistance in the investigation.
