The Seneca County Sheriff’s Office reports the arrest of an Ovid man on several charges following a child abuse investigation.
Jeremy Andrews, 27, of Ovid was charged with reckless assault and assault – both as felonies – and endangering the welfare of a child.
Andrews is accused of causing serious injuries to a child under 5. Deputies said the injuries include a subdural hemorrhage of the brain and a broken femur.
Andrews was arraigned and committed to the Seneca County Jail on $20,000 cash bail or $10,000 bond.
An order of protection was issued on behalf of the victim. Deputies said Seneca County Child Protection is assisting with the investigation.
