Police say a Geneva man was taken into custody for possessing a stolen car after a traffic stop on Friday.
At approximately 6:10 a.m. police stopped a vehicle for speeding on Washington Street.
The operator of the vehicle, identified as Gregory Jackson, 56, of Geneva, was found to have a suspended license.
Further investigation revealed that the vehicle was stolen out of the town of Geneva.
He was charged with criminal possession of stolen property, as a felony, as well as aggravated unlicensed operation.
The charges will be answered at a later date.
