Police make two arrests after shooting in Ithaca, lockdown at local schools and Cornell on Tuesday

Police say two people were taken into custody after a shooting in the city of Ithaca on Tuesday.

Around 1:30 p.m. officers responded to a shooting that took place in the parking lot of the Bowl-a-Drome, located on Third Street.

Several witnesses provided information that led to the incident in the Cayuga Heights area.


Police said this is what prompted the lockdown at various Ithaca City Schools and Cornell University.

Two suspects, who were not identified, were taken into custody.

Police said no injuries were reported as result of the incident.
