A fire was reported Saturday night at a Geneva restaurant, but the damage appears to be limited.
White Springs Fire Department was dispatched to Bagels and Cakes on 5&20 during the evening hours. First arriving firefighters observed a light haze and smoke coming from the structure.
A second alarm was activated, but the fire was contained to the stove and cooktop area.
White Springs reported that the fire was quickly extinguished.
“Thank you to all responding departments and members who responded,” White Springs said in a Facebook post afterward.
