A new Siena College poll reveals that while Governor Kathy Hochul tops the Democratic primary, the opinion on how she’s executing her job is much lower.
About half of voters think she’s not addressing issues they feel important to themselves.
These issues surround public safety and systemic racism.
44% of voters see the state heading in the right direction and 43% do not.
Despite these opinions, in every hypothetical scenario involving Attorney General Letitia James, New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio, New York City Public Advocate Jumaane Williams and former Governor Andrew Cuomo, she leads every time.
Regarding the pandemic, 42% of voters think she’s doing a good or excellent job, and 44% see her doing a poor or fair job.
