A man working as the manager of Salvatore’s Old Fashioned Pizzeria in Avon was viciously attacked by three dogs when trying to deliver pizza to a customer.
Carl Groth arrived and knocked on the door to give the woman her pizza and was going to leave it on the porch when she didn’t answer because it was ordered and paid for online.
He was returning to his car to call and let her know the food had been delivered when the door to the home opened and three dogs ran out.
All three attacked the man, biting his arms and legs.
He was screaming and asking the woman for help, and she stood there and did nothing.
He made it back to his car and called police before being transported to Strong Memorial Hospital where he was treated for his injuries.
The Monroe County Sheriff’s Deputy that responded called Groth to let him know that she was unable to do anything due to the dogs keeping her from the home and phone calls going unanswered.
The Sheriff’s Office notified Animal Control who will be following up on the incident.
