Alzheimer’s walk at Watkins Glen International fights for a cure

Hundreds gathered at Watkins Glen International for the 2021 annual walk to end Alzheimer’s.

Over 400,000 people are living with Alzheimer’s in New York.

It’s one of the most common types of dementia that can ruin a person’s memory.

Hundreds of walkers turned out to find a cure.

“This is to raise awareness and dementia-related illnesses as well as obviously to raise money for research and hopefully a cure someday,” Jan Van Denblink said. “My mother had Alzheimer’s and died from it so unfortunately, I’ve had a first-hand seat to this thing.”
