A new blood test has been approved by the New York State Department of Health that would detect 50 different types of cancer.
The test is called the Galleri test and was created by GRAIL.
The blood is analyzed for cancer, and when detected the Galleri test has the ability to locate the cancer in the body.
Clinical trials need to be done still, so the tests aren’t widely available or FDA approved.
They are $1,000 and not covered by insurance.
