COVID-19 is second leading cause of death for September; 91% of reported deaths from June-Sept. were unvaccinated

Of 105,000 COVID-19 deaths reported between June and September, 90,000 were unvaccinated people.

The study, completed by the Kaiser Family Foundation, shows over half of the reported deaths were in September during the Delta spread.

Data from the study showed that 91% of COVID-19 deaths were among unvaccinated individuals and could have been prevented with the vaccine.

Heart disease overall was the number one cause of death, and between people ages 35-54, it was the number one cause of death.

The number of COVID deaths reported in 2021 has already surpassed the total reported in 2020.
