One member of group that organized Walmart shoplifting scheme pleads guilty

Around six people organized a scheme to target a Wichita Falls Walmart multiple times in the span of a week in 2020.

Many of the thieves were juveniles, and they created a plan to play different roles while stealing electronics, computers and accessories, sporting goods, groceries, and other products in the store.

Ethan Ashley, who is now 20 and was of age during the crimes, was seen on surveillance footage working as the getaway driver.

He and the others pawned the items off in pawn shops.

Ashley has been sentenced to 5 years probation for engaging in organized theft.
