Vaccines may be available for kids between the ages of 5 and 11 by Halloween, but CNY Central reports that Onondaga County doctors express concern over the roll out.
Onondaga County Executive Ryan McMahon said they are ready.
While knowing exactly what infrastructure is needed, he believes they won’t need a lot of time to figure it out.
Schools, doctors offices, and vaccine sites may be used.
He said for middle and high schools they did it in the school with parents present, but does not think it’s the best environment for younger children.
McMahon has assured doctors the handling of vaccines will not be on their shoulders, which is something they have expressed worry over.
