Woman accused of hitting and killing bicyclist before fleeing the scene is arrested

A woman has been charged for her role in the death of one bicyclist and hospitalization of another in June.

In June, Amber Suprunchik, 36, of Dolgeville, allegedly struck two people bicycling on Route 26 in Cincinnatus.

One bicyclist, Kitt Warren, 67, of DeRuyter, was killed, and John C. Rutan, 67, of McGraw, was injured with non-life threatening injuries.

Two others riding bikes were not hit.

Cortland County Sheriffs located the vehicle in Willet after Suprunchik tried to tamper with it.

She was arrested and charged on Friday with tampering with physical evidence and leaving the scene of a fatal accident.

She was taken to Cortland County Central Arraignment and Processing.
