Sabres assign Brandon Davidson to Rochester

The Buffalo Sabres have assigned defenseman Brandon Davidson to the Rochester Americans, pending waiver clearance.

Davidson, 30, played six games for the Sabres last season, logging seven shots and averaging 15:20 of ice time.

He re-signed with Buffalo in July on a one-year contract.

The 6-foot-2, left-shot defenseman has appeared in 180 games spanning seven NHL seasons. He has tallied 49 points (15+32) in 192 career AHL contests, including a career-high 20 points (3+7) in 34 games with the Stockton Heat (Calgary Flames affiliate) in 2019-20.
