A $10,000 Historic Preservation Vitality Grant has been given to the South Farmington Friends Cemetery Foundation to restore the interior of the historic chapel.
The money will continue the façade improvement project that began in 2019 as well as a roof project from 2020.
The project will remove plaster and dry wall in the interior of the chapel that was heavily damaged by rain, ice and snow since a tornado damaged the chapel in 2015.
Floors and walls are slated to be finished this winter.
