Penn Yan man threatened village resident with bodily harm

Police say a 38-year-old man was taken into custody on a harassment charge after threatening bodily harm to another village resident.

The Penn Yan Police Department reports that Matthew Miller, 38, of Penn Yan was charged with second-degree harassment after threatening harm to another person.

He was held at the Yates County Jail and was later released after arraignment.

An order of protection was put in place preventing Miller from having contact with the victim.

The charges will be answered at a later date.
