Police responded to a motor vehicle accident in Mount Morris Tuesday night involving three vehicles with one fatality.
On Oct. 5 at 6:02 p.m. police responded to the crash on State Route 36.
An uninvolved southbound vehicle made a left turn when a pickup truck behind that vehicle was struck by a third vehicle, another pickup truck, from behind.
The third vehicle was towing a flatbed with a car on it, causing the car to go into the northbound lane and strike an oncoming vehicle.
The operator of the northbound vehicle was pronounced dead at the scene. A child passenger in the vehicle was taken to Strong Hospital for minor injuries.
The operator of the third vehicle was taken to Noise Hospital for minor injuries.
The operator of the pickup truck was not injured.
The investigation is ongoing.
