Ellume, an at-home COVID-19 test manufacturer, is recalling some of their at-home tests for false positives.
The company published a list of lot numbers on its website for consumers to check. If their test is on the list, it’s considered defective.
427,000 tests were in the lot being recalled and 200,000 are unused.
Customers that used the tests and had a positive result will be contacted by email. They are urged to get a second test.
It’s suggested by the FDA that anyone who had a positive at all from that lot of tests should go to their urgent care for a molecular diagnostic test.
