With the holidays are coming, and retailers needing employees for the expected influx of shoppers this season, Target will be paying their workers more money on peak days.
According to Target’s corporate blog, Target Team Members will be getting an additional $2 per hour for specific dates:
For hourly store, select headquarter, and service center team members: Every Saturday and Sunday from Nov. 20 – Dec. 19, plus Friday, Dec. 24 and Sunday, Dec. 26.
For hourly supply chain team members: For a two-week period (varied based on building) from Oct. 10 to Dec. 18.
Target also announced that they’re offering 5 million more hours to employees with the use of a mobile scheduling app so employees can add or swap their shifts.
They’re also adding 30,000 supply chain positions with benefits, $15 starting pay, education assistance, and bonuses.
