The overnight frosts may stay away for a bit longer as we head into October

It appears that warmer weather will be around for a bit in October, helping to keep the frost away from Central New York for a bit longer.

Last September was one of the warmest September’s on record.

With the jet stream not dropping anytime soon, it looks like it may be warmer than normal for awhile.

There are more mild nights over the next week or so, helping to keep the frosts at bay.

Normally the first night it drops below 32 degrees in Syracuse is around Oct. 17.
