The streetscape road work continues for Downtown Geneva, and is now shifting to Castle Street.
Two-way traffic finally resumed on Exchange Street Saturday after being one lane for quite some time.
Faster construction is expected for Castle Street in comparison to Exchange Street.
For Castle Street construction, a sign has been installed to let people know the businesses on that street are open. The North side of the street will undergo renovations first.
This work is part of phase one of the Routes 5&20 Corridor Reconfiguration and Downtown Streetscape Project.
Phase two will redesign 5&20 in the downtown area and begin in 2022.
The project is part of the $10 million dollars granted to the city in 2016 for the Downtown Revitalization Initiative.
