Missing college student Miya Marcano remains found: Suspect dead by apparent suicide

Authorities in Orange County, Florida believe they have found the remains of missing college student Miya Marcano. The 19-year-old college student was last seen on Friday, September 22.

Remains that were believed to be Marcano were found in a wooded area of Tymber Skan around 10:45 a.m. on Saturday.

Local authorities held a press conference shortly after the finding.

The medical examiner will have the final call on whether the remains were hers. However, a purse with Marcano’s identification was found near the remains.

She was a student at Valencia College in Orlando.

The man suspected in her death was identified as Armando Caballero, who was also found dead from an apparent suicide.

Deputies say a warrant for his arrest was obtained before his death. Investigators also indicated that Caballero lived nearby where Marcano’s body was located.
