A man was arrested after deputies discovered he coached a child under the age of 17 to falsely accuse someone else of sexual abuse.
Brett Nowlan, 41, of Clayville, was charged with endangering the welfare of a child.
Nowlan made a report saying an alleged sexual offense occurred at the hand of another adult against a child under the age of 17.
An investigation began Aug. 29.
The child’s age led the Oneida County Child Advocacy Center to investigate the accusation.
Following the investigation, it was discovered Nowlan had told the child to make up the accusations.
