Dollar Tree recently announced that they’ll be selling some items for $1.25 and $1.50 at their Dollar Tree Plus stores.
Products being sold for $3 and $5 dollars will be tested at certain stores as well as their Dollar Tree Plus stores.
500 Dollar Tree Plus stores are planned for this fiscal year, and 1,500 are planned for the fiscal year of 2022.
5,000 more are set to open by the end of the fiscal 2024.
The rising in prices is happening due to the supply chain issues stemming from the pandemic. Dollar Tree has been paying more for their products.
Michael Witynski, chief executive officer of Dollar Tree said the adjustments are to make up for the current economic environment as well as diversifying the product selection for customers.
