On Friday morning a fire broke out in the fresh food section of the Joliet, IL store and left smoke damage throughout.
Target said they will remain closed for a considerable amount of time.
The fire is believed to have been caused by a cooler malfunction.
The Joliet Fire Department believes the store will be closed for awhile to repair and restock.
There are nearby stores customers can shop at.
The fire broke out around 7 a.m. and was quickly extinguished, but the smoke damage was excessive.
Employees at this location will be offered temporary employment at other locations.
