A Walmart has decided to ban students from their store during hours that school is in session

A Walmart in Grand Junction Colorado has decided to ban school-age children from their store, but not in the way you might think.

The Walmart location has restricted students from their Walmart Neighborhood Market between the hours of 7 a.m. and 4 p.m. in an attempt to keep kids out of their store and in school.

The store has experienced multiple incidents involving rough-housing and shoplifting as well as harassment, and the management spoke with the Central High School administration about the issue before coming to this solution.

The students aren’t banned, but restricted during specific hours.

Central High School Principal, Lanc Sellden, says the rule is for unaccompanied children.
