State police investigated a crash that happened on I-99 at exit 8 resulting in multiple injuries.
Police say a 73-year-old woman from Horseheads entered the exit from the wrong direction, heading south in the northbound lane, and hit a vehicle driven by a 71-year-old man from New Jersey.
The woman going in the wrong direction also hit a third car driven by a 42-year-old woman from Corning.
The woman who caused the accident and the woman from Corning were flown to Guthrie Robert Packer Hospital.
The driver from New Jersey as well as the passenger in his vehicle were flown to Strong Memorial Hospital.
The investigation into the accident is still ongoing.
