A man has been sentenced up to four years in state prison for two domestic violence convictions in Cayuga County.
Jason J. McPhearson Sr., 29, of Auburn, was sentenced Thursday. He faced six charges and pleaded guilty to the most serious charge.
McPhearson’s attorney, Ben Susman, said his clients issues are due to substance abuse and asked for his second felony offender status to be waived so he could apply for shock camp.
The request was denied.
He was sentenced to four years in prison with five years of post release supervision for second degree strangulation. He was also sentenced to 2-4 years for aggravated family offense, but the sentences will run concurrently.
