The Geneva Police Department responded to a report of a student with an air-soft pistol on school grounds.
On Sept. 22 around 10:38 a.m., the Geneva Police Department’s School Resource Officer was notified that an air-soft pistol was found inside of a student’s backpack during bag checks.
The gun was handed over to the resource officer and after further investigation it was determined the student had no intention of harming themselves, students or employees in the school.
Paperwork was submitted to the Ontario County Attorney’s Office to review due to the age of the student.
