Republican New York State Representative Lee Zeldin shared that he was diagnosed with leukemia last November, but is now in remission and still plans to run for governor.
He explained that he was diagnosed with early stage chronic myeloid leukemia and that following treatment he experienced positive results, ultimately going into remission and expecting to live a normal life.
Zeldin is a Long Island Republican and one of five GOP candidates running for governor in 2022.
