Tioga County woman charged with animal cruelty after 49 neglected animals are recovered from her property

A woman has been arrested in Apalachin for the severe neglect of 49 animals.

Tioga County Sheriff’s arrived to the property to remove a storage shed but found 33 dogs, 15 chickens, and roosters, hens, a pony, and other animals.

Terry Woloszyn has been arrested and charged with 49 counts of cruelty to animals among other charges.

All animals were suffering, living in fecal matter, and surrounded by undrinkable water.

Angel Eyes Animal Rescue and Wildlife Rehabilitation, Willow’s Wings Animal Sanctuary Inc. Tioga County Emergency Services, Spencer Animal Hospital, and Cornell University College of Veterinary Medicine are all working to treat the animals for malnutrition, skin infections, and other ailments caused by neglect.

The Tioga County Sheriff’s Office is accepting donations to help care for the animals, and checks can be made out to the Tioga County Sheriff with “animals that were rescued from Apalachin” in the memo.
