Women March in Seneca Falls 2021 invites supporters to this civic action in solidarity with all Women Marches in America on October 2, 2021.
The march is a protest rally to defend U.S. reproductive rights.
The event is outdoors at 10 a.m. and will begin at the First Amendment Space at the Women’s Rights National Historic Park, 136 Fall Street, in Seneca Falls.
Women March in Seneca Falls organizers wholeheartedly agree with New York Governor Kathy Hochul’s remarks delivered on September 9, 2021 at the Planned Parenthood Day of Action Rally, the Governor said, “We don’t want to be fighting this anymore, but we are ready. We are here to show the rest of the nation that New Yorkers stand with every single one of you.”
Susan Scheuerman, Lead Organizer, says, “We are against roll-backs, bans, and any type of infringement on our reproductive freedoms. As Elizabeth Cady Stanton stated, “self-sovereignty” of our bodies is what we want! We look forward to welcoming members of the public to the Birthplace of Women’s Rights in America, once again. The rally is to be held outdoors, rain or shine. We encourage hand-made signs and expect a peaceful demonstration.”
Attendees are required to wear masks and to practice social distancing.
